Lenny (Leonard)'s Story
I came to bayside to live from the bronx. went to p.s. 130 then jhs 158 in bayside.
I remember being at BHS in 63 and watch JFK get shot while in the audio room. I left Bayside High in 64? I think that was the year. Went into the uncle sams misguided children. Years later I worked at the Wayside Inn in Glen Head LI. I was very good friends with a Lenny Korse who also went to Bayside High played football. Years later I ended up in LA then in 1973 I went as a vol. to Israel during the 73 war.
When there I ran into my old friend Lenny Korse. So the two lennyK's were working and drinking together once again.
I met a girl from S.Africa and left Israel in 75 to work in Switzerland. Then after living in london we tied the knot. After living on the eastcost for a 2 yr period we drove cross country and up the west cost to live in Ala...Expand for more
ska. Ended up joining Peace Corps. Did two yrs in Cebu, Philippines in a small fishing village called canduguy. great time! Then went to do another two years in Malawi Africa. Then we went to work with Save the Children Federation in Malawi. Then we cut that knot. I went back to Israel and stayed and did some work on my old Kibbutz there. after another 2 years there I came back to NYC to see what was left of family. I worked for NYC EMS. that added to the dreams and the whys I left NYC years ago. Move to Vermont with a new wife Iris. been here now for 12 + years. Do any of you remember me? Do you remember Lenny Korse or Barry Rothman, Barry finestein or the Wayside Inn.
Who was outside BHS when we moved a VW from its parking place on the street to under the tree's?
